Uniting local Christians to engage effectively in Dorset Politics

What is CAD?

Are you looking to get involved in Christian activism in Dorset? You're in the right place!

We are a local activist hub drawn from a wide range of organisations and denominations seeking righteousness in our beautiful county of Dorset.

We serve as a single point contact for anyone wanting to be more involved in local pro-life and Christian outreach. Our members are linked to multiple national groups including: Brephos, CBR UK, Hope Pregnancy, 40 Days For Life, SPUC, March For Life, The Heart Beat Bill, Vote Life and Right To Life. We work together with common goals across all church denominations.

Our Story

After standing in the 2024 General Election for the Christian Peoples Alliance UK in Bournemouth West, Julie Vivienne felt led by The LORD to seek to unite Christian people, denominations and groups from across Dorset in a set of clear moral goals.

It started with a few emails, a Facebook group and a prayer meeting. A year later the group is a robust launch pad for multiple good works including prayer, practical support, protest and political engagement. Today the group meets monthly and engages in a wide range of important moral issues.

The need for our existence has never been greater with Poole Magistrates court being at the epicentre of a national and international debate over Free Speech.

Following the unlawful prosecution of Southampton physio and army veteran Adam Smith Connor for praying inside his head, US Vice President JD Vance, speaking to international leaders in 2025, stated the “basic liberties of religious Britons…is in the crosshairs”. Local mother Livia Tossici-Bolt also found herself in the middle of an international free speech battle for holding a sign encouraging peaceful conversation inside the same Bournemouth Zone.

Less well known but equally important was the prosecution of 80 year old local resident, David Skinner, for sending a graphic detailing abortion to the police.

If these unjust impositions are to be rolled back, we need to do more than worship on a Sunday. We need to get organised and active. Not just understanding our faith but applying it to the public square.

Christian Activism Dorset- What do we stand for?

We boldly and unashamedly stand for:

  • Biblical marriage being between one man and one woman.

  • All human beings are made in the image of GOD the Creator and are either male or female.

  • All human life is sacred from conception in the womb to a natural death.

  • Protect our children from puberty blockers and wake indoctrination.

  • We emotionally and spiritually support local members involved in court cases because of their faith including David Skinner, Adam Smith Connor and Livia Tossicci Bolt.

  • We also stand against local corruption in the council, courts and media following their decision to introduce and defend a huge censorship zones around the local abortion clinic.

While we are a project of the Christian People’s Alliance, we are distinct in two clear respects.

Firstly, we are not a political party. This means our unity is based on moral grounds and not political grounds. While we will of course support and promote single policy issues regarding our focus areas, we do not subscribe to any whole manifesto for the nation. This means you don’t have to agree with or vote for the Christian People’s Alliance to be an active member of our group.

Secondly we have an exclusively local focus- i.e we address issues inside of Dorset and not outside. Trust us there is plenty to do. In order to achieve this we seek to place our regional identity above any particular group loyalty as we pull together to wrought injustice and improve our great county.

In the Media

Christian Action Dorset believes in the power of truth seeking impartial journalism, and will stand against its corruption in any form. When the local media fails in its duty we will not stay silent but will, by means of Christian, alternate and social media respond clearly and quickly, supplying the population with any facts that are missing

We have a growing media contact book and are looking to grow it. If you are a local journalist then please get in touch today

Political Engagement

At the heart of Christian Action Dorset is Christ. We don’t just want to give him thanks, we want to praise Him with everything we have.

Following on from praise comes prayer. The first Friday of every calendar month is spent praying and planning. If you are not a Christian these evenings may not be for you, though you are more than welcome to attend. Contact details below

Part of being a Christian witness is not simply praying for change but enacting it. That is why we actively and lawfully support those needing help but considering abortion.

The support we provide includes prayer, practical support and counseling. If you are in a tricky situation and considering abortion please contact us today.

God willing, we want to become a permanent “hub” to store items such as non-perishable food, baby milk, nappies, clothes for pregnant women, babies and young children, literature and Bibles and to be able to use it for all our endeavours and meetings.

If you see the moral fabric of our great county being ripped apart by corrupt individuals and institutions what would you do? We concluded that we can’t just sit on the fence, but must come to the defense of the vulnerable now and in generations to come. This is why they are responsible for coordinating multiple peaceful protests including outside Bournemouth Christchurch & Poole council offices, and outside the local media. In May we organised the Human Rights Conference. In September we held Bournemouth's first Walk for the Unborn. We remain the official point of contact for transport to March for Life as well.

Christian Action Dorset is not prepared to tolerate supporting parties and individuals in elections that don’t support God’s moral vision for society. For example if parties and candidates are not willing to defend innocent babies in the womb, we must provide votes with an alternative, that will. This is why we are committed to standing candidates in elections from pro-life parties or courageous independents to meet this desperate moral need.
